! Hey
I’m gonna give you this simple quiz to help you improve your level of English
You just need to pick the right option and tell me why you chose it
(1)
. If we met again , we (will / were / would ) go someplace nice and enjoy our time
(2)
. I’m never going to let you ( slap /slip / sleep) away again
(3)
I know I had to ( telling / told / tell ) you the truth
(4)
! Sit back and ( watched / watch / watching ) your favorite show , on TV
(5 )
.. It must ( have / had / having ) been hard for you to find out your fiancé is a cheater
– – – –
That’s all I could think about , right now
2- sleep ~ ماعندي سبب بس حسيتها الاصح ف النطق
3- tell ~ قبلها to ف الفعل اكيد مصدر
4- watch ~ الفعل الامر يكون مصدر
5- اتوقع have
So … ? : )
! Not bad 🙂
though , in the first sentence , you made a mistake . If you paid attention to the tense used in the " if " clause , you’d notice that I used the simple past . Therefore , you should use a tense that refers to the past , in the main clause
The past equivalent of " Will " is " would " . So , you should’ve chosen : would
: Let’s change the tense ,to make it clearer
" If we meet again , we will go someplace nice "
—
You also picked the wrong answer , in the second sentence , because the right one is : slip
. When someone slips away , he/she leaves you quietly without saying goodbye
– —
The rest of your answers are correct
Thanks for bothering to participate
! Another quiz is on its way , maybe now maybe later
Just stick around
😉
.. Here’s another dose
. Don’t worry about the wrong answers , because people usually learn from their mistakes
🙂
(1)
I (will be waiting – will wait – wait ) for you , when you’re ready to love me again
(2)
You need to do something more ( pleased-pleasure – pleasant ) , if you want to fill up the void
(3)
. Too bad , the accident was fatal
This lad ( should had – must have – had ) paid attention to the traffic lights
(4)
By the time he got home , his little daughter already ( broke -breaks – had broken ) 3 glasses
(5)
(If you get sick , (Take a pill – you’d take a pill – you’ll take a pill
But in truth it is a very smoothly practice to be remembered
It wouldn’t hurt , if you gave it a try
🙁
(1)

(5)

.
Nice Try !
I’d give you 8 out of 10
The only wrong answer you gave was in the 3rd sentence
? Because I said that the accident was fatal . So the kid is supposed to be dead , isn’t he
If we’re gonna consider the option you picked , then the kid shouldn’t be dead
It’s like when you say ; You must have been tired . That’s why you fell asleep so early
..
The right option should be : Should had
and in case the kid could make it and stayed alive . Then we’d have to say : He should HAVE paid attention to the traffic lights
But he’s dead , so we have to use the past perfect after the modal
and btw , it’s not common to use this form in standard English , but colloquially speaking it’s being widely used to indicate that something had to happen in the past , but it didn’t

I’m really glad you participated
That’s a proof that you don’t need that much of a practice
! Keep your pants on
The 3rd dose is being prepared
😉
