لقد حاولت يا سامي , بالفعل حاولت, ولكني لا أستطيع أن أدعي بأن كل شيء على يرام, لأن الحقيقة عكس ذلك, ولن تتحسن الأمور أبدا. فأنت اخترت شيطانا بدل أن تختار أخاك الوحيد , وانظر إلى ما حدث !

سأهب أي شيء , أي شيء لكي يعود كل شيء إلى ما كان.

Dean

أعلم ذلك, وأدرك مقدار ندمك. ولكن يا رجل ….كنت أكثر شخص أعتمد عليه ولكنك خيبت ظني بطرق لا أدري كيف …. !

But you’ve never been near one. You’ve never held your best friend’s head in your lap and watched him gasp his last breath, looking to you for help. And if I asked you about love y’probably quote me a sonnet. But you’ve never looked at a woman and been totally vulnerable. Known someone could level you with her eyes. Feeling like! God put an angel on earth just for you…who could rescue you from the depths of hell. And you wouldn’t know what it’s like to be her angel and to have that love for her to be there forever. Through anything. Through cancer. You wouldn’t know about sleeping sittin’ up in a hospital room for two months holding her hand because the doctors could see in your eyes that the term visiting hours don’t apply to you. You don’t know about real loss, because that only occurs when you love something more than you love yourself. I doubt you’ve ever dared to love anybody that much. I look at you; I don’t see an intelligent, confident man; I see a cocky, scared shitless kid. But you’re a genius, Will. No one denies that. No one could possibly understand the depths of you. ولكنك لم تجرب أن تكون بالقرب من شخص ما, أو أن تحتضن يد أعز أصدقائك بينما تشاهده وهو يلتقط أنفاسه الأخيرة وينظر إليك طالبا العون. وإن سألتك عن الحب فلربما ستقتبس لي قصيدة, ولكنك لم تجرب أبدا النظر إلى عيني إمرأة فتشعر بضعف مطلق وبأن عينيها تعرفانك حق المعرفة. تشعر حينها وكأن الله أنزل ملاكا إلى الأرض من أجلك, ملاك بمقدوره أن ينقذك من أعماق الجحيم . لم تكن لتعرف ماذا يعني أن تكون ملاكها وأن يتملكك حبها إلى الأبد , عن طريق الأشياء, عن طريق السرطان. لم تكن لتعرف معنى أن تنام واقفا في إحدى غرف المستشفى طيلة شهرين, ممسكا بيدها لأن الأطباء رأوا في عينيك أن ساعات الزيارة المسموح بها لم تشملك. أنت لا تعرف معنى الخسارة العظمى لأن هذا الأمر لا يحدث إلا حين تحب شيئا أكثر من نفسك, وأنا أشك في أنك قد تجرأت يوما على أن تحب بهذا القدر.
حين أنظر إليك لا أرى أمامي رجلا ذكيا و واثقا من نفسه, و إنما أرى فتى مغرورا و خائفا, ولكنك عبقري يا ويل, وهذا مما لا شك فيه. لا أحد يستطيع حقا استيعاب أعماقك, ولكنك تفترض معرفة كل شيء عني فقط لأنك رأيت أحد رسوماتي و قمت بتشتيت حياتي
